Elderly Pilot Dies From Injuries Sustained In Plane Crash Over A Month Ago

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say the elderly pilot of a small plane that crashed in south central Pennsylvania more than a month ago has died of his injuries.

The York County coroner's office said 85-year-old Walter Trostle died Tuesday night from multiple blunt-force trauma injuries sustained in the Sept. 19 crash in Adams County.

Officials said Trostle was flying a single-engine Cessna when its engine lost power and it went down in a field outside of Gettysburg in Cumberland Township.

The coroner confirmed that a passenger in the plane survived the crash.
