Easy Ways To Make Your Outfits Pop
It doesn't matter if we are going to the office, the grocery store or for a girl's night out, looking put-together is important to most women. The thing about that is, most looks only need one item to take them from meh to fab.
This got me thinking, so I went into my closet and came up with a list of my go-to items -- the items I gravitate toward when I think my look is feeling a little boring. It didn't take long before I had eight items that are easy additions to any outfit, plus they're super affordable.
Hopefully this list will help you next time your outfit is looking a little dull.
The List
1) Lightweight leopard scarf (or a different pattern you prefer)
A fun scarf will jazz up any outfit, especially a pattern like leopard that goes with practically anything. Tie the scarf in different ways each time you wear it to keep it interesting.

2) Red purse (or any red hue)
You will surprise yourself how many times a little red purse will come in handy. Take a boring outfit such as jeans and a black tee, add your red purse with a matching red lipstick and you can instantly enhance your look. Depending on the outfit, you don't have to match anything else in your look to the red bag.

3) Fun flats (patterned, floral, metallic, animal print)
A pair of stylish flats are necessary in every women's wardrobe. How else are we supposed to look fashionable at the grocery store? Pointed toe flats and loafers are the big trend right now so I recommend getting one of those styles. Also make sure they are comfortable, there is nothing worse that an uncomfortable flat shoe.

4) Sparkly statement earrings
Whether it's an ear cuff or a dangling earring, these accessories are definitely a statement maker. Wear these earrings with no necklace or a simple dainty necklace to avoid looking overly accessorized. Also a ponytail is a get way to show off your earrings, and it also keeps the look more causal.

5) Hat (wool during colder months, straw during warmer months)
Full disclosure: I am a hat person. Not only are they great for bad hair days, they also instantly create a stylish look.

6) Tuxedo vest
I'm not sure why I don't see more people taking advantage of this great trend. The tuxedo vest is similar to a blazer, and can be worn with just about anything that you would wear a blazer with, such as jeans and a tee, a pencil skirt or slacks.

7) Flannel shirt
I think a flannel shirt is not only versatile because you can layer it and wear it open or closed, but you can also save a boring outfit by tying your flannel shirt around your waist. This is my favorite way to wear it and it immediately improves your mundane look. Throw on a pair of converse and your sparkly earrings and you've got yourself a look sister.

8) Antique-looking statement necklace
I almost left this item off the list, because every women knows about statement necklaces by now, but they truly are one of the easiest ways to enhance any look. Currently I've been obsessed with the antique looking ones with simple clear stones. They add just enough sparkle without being over-the-top.
