1 Dead After Police Surround Home In Delmont
DELMONT (KDKA) -- One person is dead after police surrounded a home in Delmont.
A man was found deceased Saturday in a home on West Pine Street from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the Delmont Borough Police Department said on Facebook.
The Westmoreland County medical examiner identified the man as 56-year-old Richard Franco of Delmont.

Authorities said on Facebook they were on the scene for the "critical incident" on West Pine Street.
Police issued a press release saying they went to the house to execute a search warrant for an active sexual assault investigation.

When they arrived, police say they heard gunshots. They made several attempts to communicate the suspect inside the residence, but when they entered the house, he was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Delmont Borough Police Department says no shots were fired by any law enforcement agencies involved in the incident.
