Darqueze Dennard Talks Draft, Compares Himself To Darrelle Revis
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Former Michigan St. cornerback and potential Steelers draft target Darqueze Dennard joined "The Fan Morning Show" a couple of days before the first round of the NFL Draft.
Dennard told the guys what he'll bring to the team that picks him up.
"You're getting a physical football player," Dennard said. "Also, able to lock down receivers, come up and tackle, come up and blitz, play inside, outside, and I think you just get a difference-maker. You're getting a playmaker on the outside."
When asked what NFL player he'd compare himself to, he chose a player that Pittsburghers are quite familiar with.
"Darrelle Revis, really," Dennard said. "Just seeing the type of stuff he does. You've got to be on an island. He's physical, he's tough, enters the fray, comes up and tackles, makes a lot of plays. We've got similar sizes. I think he's very smart, he's very technical in everything he does, and I think that's exactly like me."
Dennard also told the guys what he does when he isn't playing.
"I've got a big thing for movies, so I've been in movie theaters a lot," Dennard said. "Whatever movie comes out, I think it's interesting. I walk around Best Buy and just buy gadgets and things like that, but I'm pretty much a boring person."
