Dan Marino Says Pitt Made Right Choice In Narduzzi
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Hall of Fame quarterback and Pittsburgh native Dan Marino joined The Cook and Poni Show from radio row at the Super Bowl on Thursday.
Marino talked Super Bowl with the guys but he also had some thoughts about his alma mater Pitt.
Dan told the guys that he has not had a chance yet to speak with new Pitt Head Coach Pat Narduzzi yet, but he has heard nothing but good things about him and he feels the program is in good hands.
"A lot of guys I know who have worked with him have said he is a great coach," Marino said. "He is going to be someone who is going to be there for us awhile and have some continuity in the program for a while and I think that is going to be very important and I think that is what we are looking for."
Marino says he can see that the program is on the rise and a stable coaching staff like what they have with the basketball program in Jamie Dixon is what the football program is missing.
"I think were close to getting better," Marino said. "I really do."
