Crime Stoppers: Serial Robbers 'Terrorizing' Customers & Clerks
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are reaching out to the public after a series of what they say are increasingly violent business robberies in different city neighborhoods.
The pair suspected in the incidents has hit commercial businesses in Greenfield, Lawrenceville, Garfield, Troy Hill and the South Side.
Pittsburgh Police Sgt. Michael Pilyik says, "The same two guys come into the establishment, one waves a gun and tells everyone to put their hands up, the other goes to the register and takes the money."
Detectives think the pair has targeted at least five businesses in the past two weeks.
On Tuesday, in a robbery at the Radio Shack on Wharton Street on the South Side, the suspect ordered the customers and clerks to the floor and took their money and cell phones.
He also took money from the register.

The two suspects are both described as black males, about 6-feet tall. One wears a rimmed, floppy fishing hat and usually a white t-shirt. The other wears a "sox" baseball cap.
