Crime Stoppers: Reward Offered For Information Leading To Arrest In Mt. Washington Bank Robbery
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are reaching out to the community because they don't have a whole lot to go on in their investigation into an armed bank robbery in Mount Washington.
The holdup took place June 15 at the First Niagara Bank at the corner of Shiloh and West Sycamore Streets.
A masked man, armed with a gun, walked into the bank at 9:45 a.m. and demanded cash. He ordered customers in the bank to get down on the floor.
He had a light complexion, was about 5'7" tall, and weighed around 150 pounds.
Police Spokeswoman Sonya Toler said, "We are really hoping this man was proud of the work he had done and ran his mouth to some people who might be willing to say, 'I'm going to put a stop to this,' and share what they know with police."
The Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers phone number is (412)-255-8477.
Information leading to an arrest and conviction could be worth up to $1,000.
