Crime Stoppers: Case Of Missing Lawrenceville Man Puzzles Investigators

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Surrounded by family members and friends, a tearful Victoria Tilman Gray appealed to the person or persons who may be involved in the October disappearance of her son.

Andre Gray, 34, lived in an apartment in Lawrenceville.

"Whoever is holding my son, please, I beg you, please turn my son over," the distraught mother said. "I need some peace, and I'm sure you do, too."

While police have not said whether they believe Gray was abducted, he was reported missing to police after his mother and stepsister went to his apartment and saw blood on his carpet and smelled bleach.

Gray and his pet dog, Boss, have been missing ever since.

Pittsburgh Police Lt. Daniel Herrmann said investigators have found no activity on a Gray's cell phone or in his bank account.

"We believe this could possibly be a homicide, so detectives from Missing Persons are working alongside Homicide Bureau detectives," Herrmann said.

Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 in the Gray case.

The Crime Stoppers number is 412-255-8477.
