Crime Scene Photos Introduced In Sisters' Murder Trial
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The first crime scene photos have been introduced as evidence in the case of two sisters who were murdered in their East Liberty home.
Prosecutors have charged the women's neighbor in the crime, and in court Wednesday, they told the jury how they put the pieces together.
Officer Greg McGee began the afternoon testimony in the trial of 45-year-old Allen Wade.
He is charged in the double murder of his former neighbors, sisters Sarah and Susan Wolfe. Their bodies were discovered inside their home back in February of 2014.
McGee testified the day after the bodies were discovered he went back to the scene where Sarah Wolfe's green Ford Fiesta had been located the night before.
While walking along South Whitfield Street, McGee testified he first saw a black, knit winter hat, just off the sidewalk.
A short distance away, the officer testified he noticed a pair of gray sweatpants on the sidewalk, as if someone had stepped out of them.
McGee told the jury after looking at sweatpants; he noticed a UPMC business card on the ground nearby.
Then, the officer said he called his superior, explained what he had found and waited for the crime unit to come and collect the evidence.
McGee said after that he continued looking around the area, when he noticed something wool and black like socks stuffed in a garbage can.

For every police officer who took the stand, defense attorney Lisa Middleman raised questions about how the evidence and the various scenes were processed.
Testimony will continue Thursday.
