PINE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) -- Crews responded to a house fire in Pine Township.

Multiple fire departments responded Friday to the home on the 1700 block of Old State Road. No one was home at the time of the fire, and one firefighter was injured.

Wexford Volunteer Fire Company Fire Chief Chris Ausefski said the injured firefighter is with the Adams Area Fire District. The firefighter was treated for second-degree burns and released.

Ausefski said there are no fire hydrants in the area. He also said the location of the home and the driveway made it difficult for crews to reach.

Firefighters brought in two 3,000-gallon pools to help fight the fire.

Fire officials said the roof caved in, and the house is most likely a total loss. The road in the area was temporarily closed as crews cleared the scene.

The fire marshall is investigating.
