Police: 32-Year-Old Man Hit, Killed By Car While Trying To Cross Parkway West To Get In Uber

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There is major backup on the Parkway West inbound.
Police say a 32-year-old man was hit and killed by a car while trying to cross inbound traffic on the Parkway West to get in an Uber on Friday.
The Uber was on the right berm inbound. The man was in the center lane of the Parkway East when he was hit and killed.
Law enforcement said the driver remained on the scene and is not injured.
Parkway West inbound traffic was detoured for more than an hour but reopened at 6 p.m. Drivers experienced major delays due to the closure.
The victim was identified as Joshua A. Knowlton by the Allegheny County Coroner's Office.
