Police Bust 2 Men Accused Of Making Black Market Credit Cards
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Two men suspected of making black market credit cards are in jail after being arrested in Butler County.
Demon Glimps, 27, and Eric Clark II, 26, are identified as the suspects who were allegedly running a credit card fraud operation. Both are from the Detroit area.
They're now behind bars at the Butler County Prison, facing multiple charges.
Police were called to the Hampton Inn in Cranberry Township because of a drunk man who was causing problems.
While police were there, they noticed Glimps and Clark sleeping inside an SUV in the parking lot. The officer asked Clark for his passport. When he handed it over, the officer said he saw Clark remove two credit cards from the passport, then hid them under the front passenger seat.
The cards were a Starbucks gift card and a Citi Master Card with another man's name on it.
Police searched the vehicle and found dozens of other credit cards, along with a notebook containing 100 credit card numbers, their expiration dates and zip codes.
The magnetic strips on the cards were blank and contained no information. Police say they believe the suspects were cloning credit cards to make fraudulent purchases.

It's unclear how the men got the information, but there are some tips from the Federal Trade Commission that you can follow to keep your information safe.
First, don't lend anyone your card. Don't give out your account number to anyone on the phone unless you've made the call to a company you know is reputable.
Also, carry your cards separately from your wallet. This can minimize your losses if someone steals your wallet or purse.
Lastly, never sign a blank receipt. Draw a line through any blank spaces above the total.
