Chipotle To Close Restaurants For One Day For Food-Safety Meeting
PITTSBURGH (KDKA/CNN) -- Chipotle is reportedly closing all of its restaurants for one day in February to hold staff meetings about food safety.
The move is aimed at rallying employees behind a new strategy focused on food safety.
On February 8th, nearly two-thousand locations will close so employees can attend a company-wide meeting.
A company spokesman says all staff will be involved, and a variety of issues will be addressed.

The company has been on the hot seat ever since Chipotle was tied to a series of disease outbreaks, including E.coli, salmonella, and norovirus.
The Centers for Disease Control says 53-people have been sickened in multiple states, including Pennsylvania.
That prompted the closure of 43-stores last year.
At least nine lawsuits have been filed against the company.
