1-year-old dies 2 weeks after near-drowning in Etna

ETNA, Pa. (KDKA) -- A 1-year-old died two weeks after nearly drowning in Etna. 

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said Thursday that Leo Garrison died around 12:30 a.m.

Officials said the child was found unresponsive after first responders were called to Sycamore Street on July 13. First responders performed life-saving measures and took the child to a hospital in critical condition.

Allegheny County police said preliminary information suggests the near-drowning was accidental. The medical examiner did not provide a cause or manner of death.
