Chad Voytik: Virginia Tech Win Can Be Turning Point
PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 The Fan)- The Pitt Panthers ended a three-game losing streak with their 21-16 win over Virginia Tech. Quarterback Chad Voytik told Bob Pompeani Saturday that the win can be a turning point.
"It was a huge game, definitely a turning point for our season and I think we're going to be able to look back and say, 'That was a game that changed the course of our season,'" Voytik said. "I was ecstatic after the game."
Pompeani asked Voytik how he handles the criticism that comes with playing quarterback, especially during the three game losing streak.
"I try not to buy into it too much," Voytik said. "But I can't say some of that's not deserved. I didn't perform to my best, and so I know I had to step up for this last game and the rest of the season. So I'm trying to use it as motivation."
Pompeani asked Voytik can improve on individually.
"I've definitely looked into each game to see what I can improve on. I think that personally I can settle the game down, settle my mind down during the game, and just stick to my progressions," Voytik said.
