CBS Sports NFL Analyst Boomer Esiason Says Steelers Are Finally On The Same Page
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - CBS Sports analyst Boomer Esiason took to 93-7 The Fan's Cook and Poni show today to preview the Steelers and the New York Jets.
Esiason commented on the improvement in the Steelers offense.
"It just goes to show that no matter what Snoop Dogg says, Todd Haley, Mike Munchak and Ben Roethlisberger are all on the same page," Esiason said.
As a former New York Jets quarterback, Esiason had a few choice words for the struggling 1-6 team.
"The secondary is terrible. It's absolutely horrendous," he said. "They have had a lot of problems there and it started coming out of training camp."
The analyst also talked of the upcoming game between the Steelers and the Jets.
"The reason the Jets are going to lose is because the Pittsburgh Steelers have better players who handle the ball and who make bigger plays than the Jets players do," Esiason added.
Esiason told The Cook and Poni show that although he believes the Steelers will win the upcoming matchup, the game will be within one touchdown.
"The Jets have one win," Esiason said. "They're not playing well; teams are steam rolling them, all of that stuff. That's why the natural thing for the Pittsburgh Steelers would be to let down."
The Steelers take on the Jets in the MetLife stadium in New York at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
