Police: Man, woman dead after exchanging gunfire inside vehicle in Muddy Creek Township
MUDDY CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) — A man and woman are dead after state police said the two exchanged gunfire inside a vehicle during a fight in Butler County.
Jenna Smith, 28, and Jacob Smith, 31, both from Pulaski, died Monday in the Park and Ride on Route 422 and Route 19 in Muddy Creek Township, police said.
Troopers said they found Jenna Smith on the ground and Jacob Smith inside the vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds.
According to investigators, both of them were armed with pistols and exchanged gunfire in the vehicle after a fight.
Troopers tried to save them but they both died at the scene.
Police called the shooting an isolated incident and said there is no threat to the public.
