Bob Errey: Rangers' Power Play Gave Them Life
PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 The Fan)- The Penguins head to New York for Game 6 Sunday night after losing 5-1 Friday.
Penguins broadcaster Bob Errey told Bob Pompeani that the Rangers got an early lift from their power play.
"You get a couple of guys back into the lineup, you get the first goal on the board from a bad angle and certainly you get life," Errey said. "That power play, boy, was it sapping of life for the Rangers for many a game. Finally, Bob, they were able to score on the power play and that really got them going."
Errey told Pompeani that it won't be easy for the Pens to close out the series.
"Pittsburgh's going to have to play their best hockey to put the Rangers away, and that's the way it should be in the playoffs," Errey said. "If you can't, then you go quietly into the summer."
