Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict Suspended For Three Games
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Bengal's linebacker Vontaze Burfict has been suspended for the first three games of the 2016 regular season.
The NFL announced Monday that the suspension is due to "repeated violations of safety-related playing rules."
Andrew Brandt, of ESPN, tweeted that Burfict will lose half a million dollars during the suspension.
Scheduled to make $2.85 million in 2016, Vontaze Burfict will forfeit just over $500,000 with three-game suspension.

The Bengals linebacker has become a villian in Pittsburgh, with controversial hits on several star players.
It may not end with Burfict.
According to the NFL, the conduct of other players and coaches involved in the more confrontational aspects of the Steelers-Bengals game are being reviewed for potential discipline.
