1 Dead In Beaver Falls Head-On Crash
BEAVER FALLS (KDKA) – Police are investigating a crash in Beaver County that left one person dead Monday morning.
According to officials at the scene, the crash happened along Route 65 in Beaver Falls around 7 a.m.
A black sedan and a large SUV hit head-on, which caused the car to catch on fire.
"I actually just heard what sounded like an explosion," said Nikki Miracle, of North Sewickley. "I didn't know it was an accident and a few minutes later, I jumped online and that's what it was."
North Sewickley police are investigating this deadly accident. They say it appears the driver of the small car may have come up the hill, crossed the center line, coming into the opposite lane and hit the SUV head-on.
Police identified the driver of the car as Isaiah Hunter, 19, of New Brighton. Miracle says this isn't the first time there's been an accident on that part of Route 65.

"To me, I think it's an area that should have something, a traffic light. We've lived here for seven years, it seems like there's enough concern that there should be something there," Miracle said.
Police say the woman who was driving the SUV wasn't seriously injured. She waited for paramedics inside a home near the crash site, before being taken to a local hospital. Police say two men helped get Hunter out of the burning car, but it was too late. He died at the scene.
"I just think that it is a blind curve and it is, at least from our standpoint, pulling out of our driveway," said Miracle. "People come around here so quickly and the visibility is an issue."
Police say it doesn't appear the weather was a factor in the deadly accident.
