Judge rules ballot referendum will decide Wilkinsburg annexation

WILKINSBURG, Pa. (KDKA) - Voters will decide if Wilkinsburg can merge with the City of Pittsburgh.

The Trib reports a court ruling requires a referendum, and a majority in each municipality would have to approve.

Wilkinsburg council previously opposed an annexation plan.

Wilkinsburg already shares some services with the city.
