Authorities Arrest Wanted Murder Suspect, Find Large Heroin Operation

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – US Marshals looking to arrest a wanted murder suspect stumbled upon a large heroin distribution Thursday in Baldwin.

Officials say 30-year-old Rodney Howard Jr. was arrested and wanted on criminal homicide charges in connection with the death of 37-year-old Hosea Davis.

Davis was shot and killed Jan. 20 in Larimer.

Authorities say they found Howard at a home on Clairton Boulevard Thursday, as well as 19-year-old Cheyenne Arrington.

Inside the home, police say they found nearly 5,000 stamp bags of heroin, "a large quantity" of uncut heroin and another 50,000 empty stamp bags.

An FBI task force was then called in to investigate.

Howard and Arrington were both arrested on numerous drug charges.

They are both currently in the Allegheny County Jail.
