At least one person killed in crash on Rt. 819 in Greensburg
GREENSBURG (KDKA) - A man is dead after a crash on Route 819 in Greensburg on Wednesday morning.
According to the Westmoreland County Coroner's Office, Robert Glendening had crossed into the northbound lane while traveling south and struck a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by the deputy coroner.
While Glendening was wearing a seatbelt, it is believed that speed and drugs were a factor in the crash.
The driver of the truck was also taken to the hospital, but his condition was not provided.
Both Greensburg and Pa. State Police are investigating the incident and are expected to release more information in the coming days.
