Two Dozen Injured After Tour Bus Rolls Over Near Md. Border

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – More than two dozen people were injured Sunday, when a tour bus rolled over near the Maryland Border.

The bus crashed along Route 220 in Cumberland Valley Township, Bedford County on its way from Altoona to the Rocky Gap Casino in Cumberland, Md.

According to police, 11 passengers were taken to Bedford County Hospital and another 15 were taken to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, but all have since been treated and released.

Police say the crash happened because the driver, 65-year-old Terrence Shultz, was driving at a speed too fast for the harsh weather conditions.

There was a total of 33 people on the bus at the time.

It's unclear if Shultz will face any charges.

Stay with KDKA for more information.
