Antonio Brown Rolls Up In Style To Steeler Training Camp
ST. VINCENT COLLEGE (KDKA) -- The first day of Steelers training camp has turned into an opportunity for some of the players to show off their vehicles upon arrival to Saint Vincent College in Latrobe and in the more recent years, Brett Keisel usually stole the show.
In 2012 the former defensive end showed up in a tractor and then in 2013 he rolled up in a dump truck.
This year Antonio Brown had his own plans to make an unforgettable grand entrance to the 50th anniversary of Steelers training camp and he pulled it off in luxurious style.
Brown arrived at training camp in a custom Rolls Royce Phantom decked out with a black and gold Steelers-inspired design.
Brown said Rolls-Royce gave him the custom car that costs around $500,000 for free. But it's not just a temporary loaner, he actually owns it.
"I heard the car was coming and I was excited to jump in and my brother is here with me today and we were happy to pull up in style and get this thing rolling," Brown said.
It has a yellow stripe down the center, his signature blown up on the side, the Steelers logo on the mirrors and it even has stars on the ceiling. As far as how it rides, Brown said it feels smooth like a boat.
A lot has changed for Brown since he showed up to his first training camp six years ago in a Jeep Wrangler but he said he hasn't let his success change who he is as a person.
"You got to stay humble man that's what it's all about," Brown said. "Never forget where you came from and you always got to stay stable and you always want to think positive and be poised and know what's within you."
Brown definitely showed off his fancy wheels upon his arrival but he is ready to show off more than that at camp this year.
"I think I did a great job of taking care of my body I feel a lot stronger and a lot faster and I'm ready to showcase it," Brown said.
Practice begins at 2:55 p.m. on Sunday and is open to the public.
