PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – According to a tweet by the NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has requested a trade.
La Canfora reports that the trade request is not a demand, but Brown has issues with head coach Mike Tomlin and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Antonio Brown has requested a trade. Im told it was not a demand but he has asked to be dealt. Very unlikely Rooney would capitulate. Brown has issues with Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger. Feels like the coach is too aligned with the QB.

Brown did not play in Sunday's season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals, and reports say it was because of a disagreement with Roethlisberger that led to the wide receiver skipping practice.
The altercation that led Antonio Brown's benching last week was with Ben Roethlisberger. Im told it was fairly ugly and the WR was totally in the wrong. He went AWOL essentially for the 3rd time this season dating back to training camp

Roethlisberger downplayed the incident during his weekly radio appearance with 93.7 The Fan on Tuesday, saying, "If there was a blowout, I certainly didn't see it."
"I'm blessed to play with him. I consider him one of my closer friends," Roethlisberger added.
Apparently, the feeling is not mutual.
Former Steelers safety and current NFL analyst for ESPN Ryan Clark had some unflattering things to say about Brown, saying, "When you give him money, you're going to create a monster," among other things.

Brown was fifth in the NFL this season with 1,297 yards receiving on 104 catches. He made the Pro Bowl, but his stats were second best on the Steelers, behind second-year wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster's 1,479 yards on 111 catches.
Steelers teammates voted Smith-Schuster as the team MVP, curiously over both Brown and Roethlisberger.
Meanwhile, according to TMZ, Brown has just purchased a ring shaped like a goat. The ring is complete with more than 1,000 diamonds and seven total carats.
