South Side Catholic Parish Holds Annual Cholera Day Mass

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - It's an annual tradition for one Catholic parish on the South Side: the Cholera Day Mass.
Each year, parishioners at Prince of Peace and St. Mary of the Mount Parish keep the promise of their ancestors in August.
They take time to thank God and St. Roch for intervening before cholera wiped out the entire parish at St. Michaels in 1849.
This year, the mass also honored the victims of the coronavirus pandemic.
