This is the second time McCutchen has graced the cover of SI.
In the upcoming issue, McCutchen talks about the help he had in his life to become a major league baseball player and the role his family played.
With the Major League Baseball season in its final month of the regular season, McCutchen is looking to put his name atop the National League Most Valuable Player talk and become the first Pirates to win back-to-back MVP awards and only the seventh player to ever achieve that feat.
On the season, McCutchen is hitting .308 with 21 home runs, 72 RBI and 17 stolen bases.
