Allegheny Co. Police Searching For Coraopolis Bank Robber
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are searching for a man who robbed a Coraopolis bank Monday afternoon.
Around 2:50 p.m. on July 7, police say Jeffrey Schrott, 23, walked into the First Niagara Bank on Mill Street and handed the teller a note demanding money.
The teller gave him the money, and Schrott fled across 4th Avenue.
Video surveillance showed him running through the Coraopolis Cash Market parking lot toward 3rd Avenue.
Schrott's last known residence is in the 1100-block of 3rd Avenue in Coraopolis.
Police say he has a conviction for a similar bank robbery that occurred in 2011 at the Citizen's Bank at the Kennedy Township Giant Eagle.
In addition to the arrest warrant for this robbery, Schrott has a bench warrant for probation violation and a bench warrant for failure to appear at a court proceeding.
Anyone who sees Schrott or has information regarding his whereabouts should contact Allegheny County Police at 412-473-3000.
