Alleged Abduction In Allegheny County Turns Out To Be Misunderstanding

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Allegheny County Police and Franklin Park Police investigated an alleged kidnapping of a 31-year-old woman reported by her friend as well as her parent.

The woman, who has not been publicly identified by officials, was reported to be missing around 1:35 this morning. At that time, the friend could not provide details about where the alleged abduction took place.

Frank Park Police were able to track down the woman, who was with a 30-year-old man from Buffalo, New York at a gas station in Ohio Township. She herself never contacted police directly.

Everything was peacefully resolved with police at 6:50 a.m.

No charges have been filed, and no charges are expected to be filed unless new information contradicts what has been learned.
