All-Female Jury Selected In Teacher's Strangulation Death
GREENSBURG (KDKA/AP) -- An all-female jury has been selected in the case of a Westmoreland County man who is accused of strangling his wife to death.
David Stahl, of Hempfield Township, is charged in the strangulation death of his wife, Rebecca, two years ago.
She was a teacher at Derry Area Middle School.
Her body was later found wrapped in plastic and blankets in a wooded area near the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport.
Investigators say before her death, Rebecca and her husband argued about his drinking.
Earlier this month, the victim's family filed a lawsuit against Stahl and the bars that allegedly served him when Rebecca was killed.
The lawsuit contends Stahl had a reputation of being drunk and abusive.
Testimony is scheduled to begin next week.
