LGBTQIA+ Activists Protest Outside Bar In Downtown Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Hundreds of protesters surrounded a bar in downtown Pittsburgh, demanding changes to the bar's policies.
The protesters gathered Wednesday on Liberty Avenue at the intersection of Smithfield Street. The group was organized by Pittsburgh's LGBTQIA+ community of color.
They say bar owners discriminate against members of LGBTQIA+ community of color by setting a new dress code that bans things like hoodies, sunglasses and saggy pants.
They say they are made to feel unwelcomed.
The protest lasted about two hours.
