6-Month Investigation Leads To Biker Gang Members' Arrests

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A six-month investigation came to a head Monday, with arrests across Allegheny County.

The suspects are members of a motorcycle gang who are allegedly bringing drugs into the area.

One suspect, Isaac Skipworth, was grabbed by DEA agents at his West homestead home Monday morning.

According to federal authorities and criminal complaints, Skipworth is charged with possession of a firearm and a controlled substance.

Federal agents spent months investigating Skipworth and four other men – all accused in a criminal conspiracy involving guns, drugs and money. All part of what police describe as a motorcycle gang called LAW.

Neighbors seemed to know very little.

"I just knew he was in a biker club," said neighbor Trey Johnson. "I would just see him ride around."

Criminal complaints indicate the DEA recorded countless phone conversations between the five men arrested Monday and they also intercepted text messages.

Many of the conversations involved the transportation of drugs into the region and the planning of armed robberies.

Federal agents indicate all of the men arrested today were implicated in a number of prior law enforcement activities.
