According to police, the shooting happened in the 500-block of Brownsville Road around 10:30 p.m. on September 10th.
Authorities allege in a criminal complaint that an unnamed witness said the defendants were driving and spotted Pounds walking home from a football game with a friend. The witness said Givens stuck a .22-caliber rifle out the window and fired more than two dozen times, killing Pounds and injuring the friend and a 43-year-old man.
