2015 Pittsburgh Penguins Season Preview
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - With the Penguins season ready to get under way Thursday night with a road game against the Dallas Stars, let's take a look at a season preview for the team.
Yahoo Sports Puck Daddy writer Sean Leahy put together a comprehensive preview for team looking at everything from the five most fascinating players to the teams nightmare scenario.
Coming off a 43-27-12 season in which they finished as the second wild card in the eastern conference, Leahy says that if things go their way, they could be in contention in the eastern conference again.
It should come as no surprise that in his "Five Most Fascinating Players" portion of the preview that Leahy listed the recently acquired Phil Kessel as his most interesting player.
Coming off a 25-goal season, Kessel will look to finally fill that goal scoring void many have clamored for on Sidney Crosby's wing.
Over the last 5 seasons, Kessel has tallied 151 goals as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The addition of Kessel is the reason why Leahy says the potentally best thing about the Penguins could be his presence allowing them to challenge Tampa Bay for the eastern conference crown since most experts are predicting Tamp to run through the conference on their way to the Stanley Cup Finals.
