2 Masked Suspects Sought After Firing Shots During Penn Hills Home Invasion

PENN HILLS (KDKA) -- Police are looking for two masked suspects after a violent home invasion this afternoon in Penn Hills.

It all started around 4:30 p.m. in the 700-block of Hamil Road.

According to Penn Hills Police, a teenage girl was home alone when the suspects forced their way into the home by kicking in a door. They ordered the girl to lie on the floor; however, after telling her to shut off the house's alarm system, the girl managed to run out a back door.

One of the suspects then fired two shots, but no injuries were reported.

Police continue to investigate. But so far, it's not known why the home was targeted.

The suspects took off on foot. They are described as young African American males who were wearing dark clothing and masks.

Penn Hills police detectives were seen canvasing the area, looking for the suspects.
