3 People Injured In 2 Homewood Shootings
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are investigating two shootings in Homewood that sent three people to the hospital.
The first shooting happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Collier Street and Fuchsia Way.
A 19-year-old was shot three times, including once in the back of the head.
The teen was transported to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and is in critical condition.
Around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to a shooting at the intersection of Brushton Avenue and Mulford Street.
A 62-year-old man was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital by ambulance. He's in critical, but stable condition.
A second victim, a 20-year-old man, was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital by private means. He is in stable condition.
"We are still in the process of processing this scene and trying to see what evidence we have here, and talking to the people in the area," said Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler. "I have to say that not too many people admitted to being present when this happened on this corner, but hopefully we'll get some information from the community relatively soon."
Authorities say they plan to talk with both the victims.
