60-Year-Old Man Charged After Couple Found Shot To Death In Stowe Township Home

STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after two people were found dead in a home on Liberty Street in Stowe Township.

Police say they responded Thursday for a welfare check around 11:20 a.m. and found the home's front door open. Officials say a 47-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man were found shot to death. Law enforcement says the couple was a boyfriend and girlfriend who lived together.

Police announced 60-year-old Timothy Gumm has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide, one count of tampering with evidence and one count of a person not to possess a firearm. Police say he is the brother of the 55-year-old man.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman as Sally Sines and the man as Christopher Gumm.

Police say the shooting occurred on or about Feb 15. Police have not released word on a possible motive.
