11-Year-Old Arrested For Stabbing Teenager In Northview Heights
NORTHVIEW HEIGHTS (KDKA)- An 11-year-old is facing charges, accused of stabbing a teenager.
The stabbing happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Chicago Street in Northview Heights.
Police say a 15-year-old girl was stabbed during a fight and officers took an 11-year-old into custody near the scene.
The 15-year-old was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Community members said they are disturbed that this all took place with kids so young.
"It's a really scary reaction and I feel sorry for both families that it has to come down to that because they're so young. Their life's not even started yet," Serrita Diggs, a neighbor, said.
Police haven't said what the fight was about, but both girls will face charges. Both have been released to their parents.
