15-year-old shot, killed in Ambridge
AMBRIDGE, Pa. (KDKA) -- A 15-year-old boy was shot in Ambridge, Beaver County on Sunday.
Beaver County 911 officials say a call came in just before 7 p.m. for a report of a person that had been shot. The incident occurred along the 1100 block of Church Street.
The victim was later identified only as a juvenile, per a release from police, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Residents in the area alerted police to the possibility of two male suspects who were seen fleeing from the scene. Officers then saw one of the alleged suspects enter an apartment on Olive Lane. Police and a SWAT team were called to capture the suspect, the release added.
KDKA's Lauren Linder reports that one of the suspects has been taken into custody.
