"Armed and dangerous" man wanted after double shooting in Homestead, police say
HOMESTEAD, Pa. (KDKA) -- A 38-year-old man is dead and another was critically injured in a double shooting in Homestead on Nov. 1.
Allegheny County police said the shooting happened just after 1 a.m. along East 12th Avenue.
When police officers and medics arrived at the scene, they found one man who had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office as 38-year-old Eric Stephens of McKees Rocks.
Another man was found shot, taken to a local hospital and was last listed in critical condition.
In a release on Nov. 8, police said 36-year-old Jonque Pettiford of Homestead shot both victims after an altercation. Pettiford was charged with homicide, attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
Police said Pettiford is "potentially armed and dangerous."
