1 Dead, 1 Injured In Parkway West Crash
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One person was killed and another was injured in a crash on the Parkway West Monday morning.
According to police, the crash happened around 9:42 a.m. between the Montour Run onramp and the Moon Exit.
An SUV in the right lane lost control and collided with the passenger's side of a tractor-trailer in the center lane.
The tractor-trailer then hit the center barrier, traveled back across all three lanes, hit the guard rail and tipped over. The truck came to rest on a hillside and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital, but their condition was unknown.
Names of the victims have not been released at this time.
