Man Dies While Trying To Flee After Crashing Into Police Vehicle

ASPINWALL (KDKA) -- A man died when he tried to flee after crashing into a police vehicle in Aspinwall early Sunday morning.
Forty-year-old Dana Benson, of Wilmerding, was heading south on State Route 28 just after 1 a.m. when he crashed into a Blawnox Police vehicle.
Benson then turned around and attempted to flee the scene.
A 42-year-old man was driving south in the left-hand lane of Route 28 when Benson crashed into his vehicle head-on.
State police say Benson died on the scene of the crash.
The 42-year-old man suffered major injuries.
