The Steelers made a big first-round splash by selecting Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett at No. 20.
Pickett will compete with Mason Rudolph and free-agent acquisition Mitch Trubisky for the starting job.
The Steelers drafted a total of seven players, and made some free agent signings over the weekend as well.
The next big date on the NFL calendar is May 12, when the league announces its 2022 regular season schedule.
The Steelers will play home games against AFC North rivals Baltimore, Cincinnati and Cleveland, as well as Las Vegas, New England, New Orleans, New York and Tampa Bay.
The Steelers will play road games at Baltimore, Cincinnati and Cleveland, as well as Atlanta, Buffalo, Carolina, Indianapolis, Miami and Philadelphia.
Steelers make undrafted free agent signings official
Following Tom Pelissero's report that the Steelers had signed an undrafted free agent running back, Jaylen Warren, the Steelers made his signing and nine others official.
The team signed five players on defense and five on offense.

Steelers sign RB Jaylen Warren
The Steelers added to their draft day depth following the conclusion of the 2022 NFL Draft.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Steelers signed undrafted running back Jaylen Warren from Oklahoma State.

This past season, Warren rushed for 1,216 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Steelers pick QB Chris Oladokun with final pick
The Steelers' final pick of the 2022 NFL Draft is their second quarterback of the draft.
Selected 241st overall, the team picked South Dakota State quarterback Chris Oladokun.

In the 2021 season, Oladokun completed 62-percent of his passes, threw for 25 touchdowns, and had only seven interceptions.

Steelers take LB Mark Robinson with first pick of seventh round
The Steelers are looking to the defensive side of the football in the seventh round.
With their first of two picks in the seventh round, the Steelers selected Ole Miss LB Mark Robinson, 225th overall.

In the 2021 season, Robinson had 91 total tackles, with 42 of those being solo. He also recorded three sacks.
Steelers pick Connor Heyward with sixth-round pick
With their sixth-round pick, 208th overall, the Steelers have selected tight end, Connor Heyward.

Heyward is the brother of Steelers' DT Cam Heyward.

In 49 games with Michigan State, Heyward scored 11 touchdowns and gained 1,536 yards in total.

The Steelers are throwing a Draft Party from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at Heinz Field.
Pickett is expected to be there, along with some Steelers alumni. There will be games for kids, entertainment, Q&A sessions, locker room access and more.

Kenny Pickett is plenty familiar with Pittsburgh sports media, but for the first time Friday, he spoke to reporters not as a Panther but as a Steeler.
The Steelers selected the former Pitt star at No. 20 in Thursday's first round of the NFL Draft in Las Vegas.

The selection comes after a standout senior season at Pitt. The signal-caller finished third for the Heisman Trophy and threw for a team-record 4,319 yards passing and 42 passing touchdowns in his final season.
He also became Pitt's all-time leader in completions, passing yards, total offense and passing touchdowns.
Pickett also took home the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. He was the first Pitt player to win the award, which goes to college football's top upperclassman quarterback who is scheduled to graduate with his class.
