Golf has been a favorite pastime of U.S. presidents dating back more than a century.

Harding

F.D.R.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt designed and built the first golf course on Campobello Island, Maine, where he had a summer home. He won the Club championship on August 29, 1900. Roosevelt's golfing days ended when he was stricken with polio in 1921, 12 years before taking office as president.
