Grammy Awards 2016 nominees
Kendrick Lamar swept up 11 nominations for the 2016 Grammy Awards. The rapper/songwriter was nominated for album of the year for "To Pimp a Butterfly" and song of the year for "Alright." Lamar won two Grammys earlier this year.

The Weeknd
The Weeknd got seven Grammy nods, including nominations for Record of the Year for "Can't Feel My Face" and Album of the Year for "Beauty Behind the Madness."
Taylor Swift
Pop star Taylor Swift, who received the most nominations at this year's MTV VMAs and the American Music Awards, picked up seven Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year for "Blank Space," Album of the Year for "1989" and Song of the Year for "Blank Space."
Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj dominated the Grammy Awards' rap categories, and picked up nominations for Best Rap Performance for "Truffle Butter," Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Only" and Best Rap Album "The Pinkprint."
Wiz Khalifa
Wiz Khalifa was nominated for several awards thanks to his hit with Charlie Puth, "See You Again." The artist was nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran received Grammy nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Thinking Out Loud."
Drake
Drake received Grammy nominations for best album for "If Youre Reading This Its Too Late," as well as other nods for "Back To Back" and "Truffle Butter" and "Only" with Nicki Minaj.
Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson picked up nominations for Best Pop Solo Performance for "Heartbeat Song" and Best Pop Vocal Album for "Piece by Piece."
Mark Ronson
Mark Ronson (R) received nominations for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Uptown Funk" with Bruno Mars. He also received a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album for "Uptown Special."
Dr. Dre
Dr. Dre received a nomination for Best Rap Album for "Compton."

Maroon 5 received one nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Sugar."
Meghan Trainor
"Marvin Gaye" singer Meghan Trainor received one nomination for "Best New Artist."

Country star Sam Hunt was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Country Album for "Montevallo."
