Forbes announced the world’s highest-paid TV actresses, and even women who are not Hollywood stars can gain some wisdom from the list: Most of the highest earners have several side gigs going on at once, and have also negotiated excellent contracts.
It helps your wallet to be a transcontinental star -- just ask actress Priyanka Chopra, who stars in ABC’s “Quantico” and continues to act in Bollywood films. She took in $11 million in the past year.

Forbes reports that “Castle” star Stana Katic made some smart money moves that brought in a salary increase and a portion of the backend of the show as it wraps. The star made $12 million.
6. Kerry Washington
Kerry Washington is not just the star of hit TV show “Scandal,” she’s also a spokesperson for Apple Music, Movado and Neutrogena, bringing her income to $13.5 million.
5. Mariska Hargitay (tie)
It’s no secret that “Law & Order SVU” is one of TV’s biggest moneymakers. Mariska Hargitay raked in $14.5 million.

Ellen Pompeo is still making the big bucks -- $14.5 million to be exact -- from “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Mindy Kaling isn’t just the star of “The Mindy Project” -- she’s also the creator and producer. Those roles, in addition to her advance for her book deal with B.J. Novak, let her make $15 million this past year.

Kaley Cuoco makes $1 million per episode on “The Big Bang Theory,” reports Forbes. That deal helped Cuoco make $24.5 million this past year.
