Family divided after mother's mysterious death
Uta von Schwedler, 49, was found dead in the bathroom of her Salt Lake City home on Sept. 27, 2011. She was a research scientist and mother of four children.

A Son's Mission
Pelle Wall, Uta's eldest son, believes he knows who is responsible for his mother Uta's death: his father, Johnny Wall.

Johnny Wall and Uta von Schwedler were married for almost 16 years before divorcing in 2006. Uta's affair with another man contributed to ending the marriage.
Wall, a well-liked and well-respected pediatrician in Salt Lake City, got primary custody of the couple's four children. This photo is of the couple in happier times in 1992.

Johnny and Pelle
Johnny's sister, Wendy, says he always loved kids and Pelle, shown in 1994 with his dad, agrees. He says his father always said that he really liked spending time with kids, which is why he pursued a medical career and became a pediatrician.

On the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, Uta's boyfriend, Nils Abramson, went to her home expecting a quiet evening together. Instead, Abramson discovered his girlfriend dead in her own bathtub. He immediately called 911.

The night Uta's body was discovered in Sept. 2011, police picked up her ex-husband, Johnny Wall, for questioning. Wendy Wall, Johnny's sister and Pelle's aunt, says that Johnny was awakened in the middle of the night by police and questioned for four hours before he was released.
