11 new TV shows to watch out for in 2017
Christine Baranski reprises her "The Good Wife" role as Diane Lockhart heads to Chicago following a financial scandal to start over at a new firm. The series will premiere on Feb. 19 and will be available through CBS All Access.

The Handmaid's Tale
Margaret Atwood’s classic dystopian novel gets a small-screen adaptation with this Hulu series starring “Mad Men” alum Elisabeth Moss. The series debuts April 26.
The Son
Speaking of literary adaptions, AMC is banking on this take on Philipp Meyer’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel as its next critically acclaimed hit. Pierce Brosnan stars as the head of a turbulent Texas oil dynasty -- which is chronicled over multiple, time-hopping storylines.
Big Little Lies
“Ally McBeal” creator David E. Kelley adapts Liane Moriarty’s novel about the dark side of suburban life in Northern California, featuring a stellar cast led by Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley, premiering on Feb. 19 on HBO.
Doubt
Katherine Heigl and Laverne Cox star in “Doubt,” a new legal drama premiering Feb. 15 at 10/9c on CBS.
Heigl stars as a lawyer at a boutique firm who’s falling for a charismatic client -- despite the fact that he’s been accused of murdering his girlfriend 24 years ago.
Victoria
Consider this a prequel of sorts to “The Crown.” PBS gets first crack at this BBC series about a young Queen Victoria, starring former “Doctor Who” star Jenna Coleman. The royal tale kicks of Jan. 15.
Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfortunate Events
Neil Patrick Harris leads this eight-part take on the beloved, twisted children’s books by the fictional Snicket, coming to Netflix Jan. 13.
Superior Donuts
Tracy Letts’ critically acclaimed play about a Chicago donut shop gets turned into a serialized sitcom starring Katey Sagal, Judd Hirsch and Jermaine Fowler, premiering Feb. 2 on CBS.
Marvel's Iron Fist
Starting March 17, Netflix serves up Marvel’s latest small-screen streaming installment, “Iron Fist” -- the last piece in the puzzle before “The Defenders” can be assembled.
