Police: 3-Year-Old Injured In Grays Ferry Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A three-year-old was among two people struck during a shooting in Philadelphia Monday morning.

The shooting happened at about 11:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of S. Newkirk Street in the city's Grays Ferry section.

According to investigators, an unknown suspect approached another male on the street and an argument between the two began.

At some point, the suspect pulled out a gun and opened fire, striking the other male in the leg.

One of the bullets entered a home and struck the three-year-old in the right leg. The child was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he is listed in stable condition.

The adult male was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is listed in stable condition with a gunshot wound to his right leg.

Investigators say the gunman remains on the loose.

The shooting remains under investigation.
